Recently bought a new home. Noticed the ceiling fan swaying just a little bit while it’s on. I attached a six second vid showing it. Thanks in advance.

Hey @jslberto I didn't see the video.  Does the wobble happen on low, medium, and high setting?

@scott-a-dixon interesting. I’ll try and attach it to a separate reply. It’s on the high setting (it’s a high ceiling in the living room, so I keep it on to try and keep all the air relatively low. So far as I know that’s not the wrong thing to do but if it is, let me know).

New homeowner trying to DIY everything so I might be posting stuff on this site quite frequently.

Interesting. It’s not showing my reply so trying again.

Will try posting vid in a separate comment. The ceiling fan is on high setting. It’s a high ceiling so I keep it on that setting to try and keep the room from getting too hot - not sure if that’s the right thing to do

@jslberto yeah to be honest probably about 50% of fans wobble a bit on the high setting.  Most likely the junction box is not rated for a ceiling fan.  This doesn't mean your fan is going to come crashing down but does lead to a little wobble at the higher speeds.  This video I went through a swap out and also all the different types of junction boxes https://youtu.be/bwFTropCRFk

Thanks and sorry for the delay. I'll wait and see if it gets worse. So far it doesn't seem to be. Thanks again.
