Super common question and something most of us homeowners struggle with on a regular basis. Below is a link to my video response and that link will start at the exact time stamp in the video to cover this topic. I will also include my summary below.

In Summary: Here is what has worked for me over the years:
1) Referrals from friends and family
2) Go to Lowe's or Home Depot when they open to see if there is a professional hustling around the store that might be a good option for your project and is already showing initiative getting up early.
3) Driving around areas in my town with a lot of work always going on. For me this is the area around the University. What I am looking for is a plumber or electrician that has his own company and working some extra hours, again showing the hustle I am looking for in a trusted pro.
4) Leverage Google Map Reviews by looking for companies that have a good number of reviews (more than 10 or 20), recent reviews, and an average of 4.5 stars and above
